AI Semantic Search
Describe what you remember and Memora finds it.
Type "red umbrella in the rain" and Memora ranks your library by how closely each photo matches. A local AI model turns both your words and your images into comparable vectors, so search works on pictures you never captioned, keyworded, or renamed. Basic text search is part of the free version.
AI Smart Albums
Your library sorts itself into browsable categories.
Portraits, landscapes, architecture, wildlife, food, sports, travel and dozens more categories are filled in as photos are indexed. Nothing needs tagging first. Saving your own searches as reusable custom smart albums is a Pro feature.
RAW File Support
Native decoding for the formats your camera actually writes.
CR2, CR3, ARW, NEF, RAF, ORF, RW2, PEF, SRW, DNG and more decode natively through a three-tier decoder covering over a thousand camera bodies. Per-camera colour profiles keep skin tones and skies looking the way the camera intended.
Lightroom Catalog Import
Bring an .lrcat catalog across without losing your work.
Memora reads Lightroom Classic catalogs directly and carries your ratings, colour labels and keywords over with them. Your photos stay exactly where they are on disk, and Lightroom keeps working alongside Memora if you want to run both.
Capture One Catalog Import
Open a .cocatalogdb catalog and search it with AI.
Point Memora at a Capture One catalog and it indexes the images in place, adding AI search and smart albums on top of a tethering and editing workflow you already trust.
What every feature has in common
Cloud photo services send your library to somebody else's servers to make search and face grouping work. Memora does not. Indexing, captioning, semantic search, categorisation, RAW development and editing all happen on your own CPU and GPU, which is why the app keeps working when you are offline and why no photo, thumbnail, caption or GPS coordinate is ever transmitted anywhere.
There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter and no telemetry in the app. To be precise rather than absolute about it, Memora does talk to shutterdev.com for two narrow purposes: licensing and update checks, which carry a license ID, the app version and an anonymous hashed processor fingerprint, and a colour profile lookup that sends nothing but your camera's make and model when you open a RAW file from a body it has not seen before. AI models download once from their source. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap when you open Map view. Nothing of yours goes the other way.

Which features are free
Browsing your library, RAW decoding, basic AI search, smart albums, catalog import and the core editing sliders are all in the free version, with no time limit and no subscription. Pro adds the heavier organisational tools: face recognition and People, AI culling, custom smart albums, collections, the timeline, photo tags and filter-by-tag, USB and SD card import, and video playback and export. Pro is a one-time payment of €29.99 rather than a recurring fee.
